Who we are
Spresso Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a digital marketing and web development studio based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, working with businesses in Australia, India and elsewhere. Our legal business name is Spresso Studio, registered for GST in India under GSTIN 27CLCPK4041A1ZP.
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through spressostudio.com (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic usage data.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name or website (optional), the services you are interested in, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up to More Spresso, Less Depresso.
- Usage data: pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level) and actions such as sending a form, collected through analytics and advertising cookies.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and the site is not meant for children under 16.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about the work you asked about.
- To send you our newsletter, but only if you opted in.
- To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
- To measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited the site.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we never sell it.
Email and newsletters
When you send the contact form, your details are stored in our Brevo account so we can follow up and keep a record of the conversation. If you tick the newsletter box, or sign up separately, we also add you to our newsletter list.
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed at any time. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not delete your enquiry history unless you ask us to.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site uses Google Tag Manager to load our analytics and advertising tools. These set cookies or use similar technology on your device:
- Google Analytics 4 measures visits, such as how many people come to the site and which pages are useful. It does not tell us who you are.
- Meta Pixel (from Meta Platforms, which runs Facebook and Instagram) records visits and actions, such as sending our contact form, so we can measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited the site. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and change how Meta uses this information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. The site still works without these cookies.
Who we share it with
We share information only with services that help us run the site and our business:
- Brevo (email and contact management)
- Netlify (website hosting and form processing)
- Google (analytics and tag management)
- Meta Platforms (advertising measurement and audiences)
- Sanity (content management for the site, which does not store form submissions)
These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States, the European Union and India. We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and for up to 3 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months, under our Google Analytics data retention setting. Meta keeps Pixel data according to its own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- delete your information
- stop sending you marketing emails
We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under local law, such as the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
If you are not happy with how we handle your request, contact us first so we can fix it. If you are in Australia, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
